I recently read a great story in your paper about deer season (Deer season means big bucks, Nov. 17). I want to thank you for publishing a story about the impact that hunting has on your local businesses. As you know, hunting is big deal, not only in Southeast Missouri, but across our state.
With 2012 wrapped up, the first year of Hunting Works for Missouri is officially in the books. The initiative, which exists to shed light on the positive economic impact hunters have on the economy of our state, has been a success.
Hunting season will be here before we know it, and a lot of Missourians are going to start planning their hunting trips soon, if they haven’t started already.
